IT IS OFFICIAL... I am a LICENSED REGISTERED NURSE! I am so happy and relieved that there is not even any way to describe the feeling. So heres the update from the last few days of our lives here in Yuma.
Sunday afternoon I left for San Diego with my friend Tiffany who so nicely decided to make the trip with me. The way there was super easy, we had sunny weather and good driving. While I was in San Diego, I tried as hard as possible not to be too nervous. We went shopping and wandered around just to keep calm. Monday I got up and went and took my test, which I must say was harder than I could have ever imagined it would be. We didn't stick around in San Diego too long because Mon was yucky weather. When we headed back to Yuma there was a break in the rain and we hoped it would stay like that but we were WAY wrong. As we were heading into the mountains there was a blinking sign that said Winter storm ahead. Tiffany and I thought this HAD to have been some sort of wrong sign because we were in SOUTHERN CALI heading toward YUMA (the hottest city around). Once again we were wrong, the weather quickly went from bad to worse. We went through white out snow, sleet, rain, and on top of it all the sun was going down so it got dark fast! We were so glad to be back on the flat desert not worrying that we were going to fall off of a cliff. But luckily we made it home safely and the dogs were SO happy to have their mama home!
Monday Jason also left for Ft. Worth. He isn't back to Yuma yet but should be back late tonight. I am SO READY for him to come home! It is very lonely here with no hubby. Supposedly he had a really good time though. He got to see the ENTIRE (MILE LONG) Lockheed Martin plant, the new JSF, the engine, and the people working on it. They were hoping that they could see a test flight yesterday, but something didnt work out and they couldnt. Im sure that everything dealing with a test flight has to be 100% perfect, so who knows what it was. I think overall it was a great trip for Jason though. Plus he got to see some familiar faces at home and be in TEXAS which I am still jealous about. = )
So..... I am super excited. Jason is probably on an airplane to here now so I can post about this without ruining his suprise. For Valentines day/his Birthday.... yesterday I stole Jasons car and took it and got the windows tinted. He has been wanting to do this for a while, especially since it will start getting super hot here pretty darn quick. But he has NOOOOO idea, and I hope he will be SUPER happy. I also washed the car and filled it up with gas so it will look just spiffy! Ill let yall know what he thinks when he gets home tonight!
Well, thats all I know for today. I am so happy my hubby is coming home... its lonely around here.
Hugs!!

How do I study like this?
Ok. So I am losing my mind completely today, which is compared to just on the verge yesterday.
I have studied so much my brain cant focus on anything at all for an extended period of time at this point. Not tv, not cleaning, FOR SURE not studying.... so Im just zipping from activity to activity like a hummingbird.
Here are my hummingbird like activities of the day:
1. Wake up at 6 30 worried that Jason is going to be late for work.
2. Wake up again at 7 to hear hang scream from the other room. (He wanted out of his kennel)
3. Actually get up at 7 15 and start studying.
4. More studying
5. Need a break, go to walmart and Sonic (took Jason lunch to work).
6. Come home and clean.
7. Too hyper to clean, so I made a cake. My methods to making the cake were.... "Whats in the pantry"... Lets throw it in a bowl.
8. Took the cake to jason.... He looked at me like wow you really are insane. But thanked me nicely. =)
9. Come home and clean some more.
10. Get driven further into insanity by the dogs.....
See.... It never ends.
Plus... this is how hank plays while I am trying to study.
At least I have Cammy here to sit and be my under the table study buddy.

Well.... this is my blog for the day. Pray I can calm down a little at some point!
Love you all!

Losing it!
Today I think it is highly likely that I might lose my mind. For the past 6 days I have literally been sitting on my couch or at my kitchen table studying. Of course I have to take breaks to walk the little dog hellions but that's pretty much all I have done. Sometimes I wonder if you are ever ready to take your nursing boards. Part of me thinks, no. There is soooo much to know and you really have absolutely no clue as to what you will be questioned on for this test. Ive gone through everything except psych and pharmacology. I just finished reading over pediatrics and mother baby nursing, and the only thing it made me do was want babies. It definitely didnt make me want to keep on doing more questions. Ugh. The poor dogs probably think I am the most boring person alive. And Jason probably agrees.

On a brighter note (for Jason): He got word this week that he gets to make a trip to Fort Worth on Monday.... whats even better is that its paid for by the marine corps. They are sending him to the Lockheed Martin plant to check out the new joint strike fighter jet. Hes really excited about it. The JSF is what will be replacing the harrier which is what jason works on now. Heres a pic of it for those who are interested. I think its really cool for him, but I have to admit that I am really jealous. Not necessarily of seeing the JSF but he gets to go HOME and be in TEXAS, while I am taking the hardest, scariest test of my life. But oh well. He doesnt get picked for this kind of cool stuff too often so I guess Ill let him bask in his excitement. I just wish he could pack me in his suitcase and take me too.
Since I have to go to San Diego to take my test, and he will be in Texas... his friend Kyle is going to be staying with the doggies. I have to admit that I am a little worried about this because I have a feeling he has no idea what the rath of Hank can entail. But hopefully all will come out of the weekend alive, and Kyle might consider watching them again for us someday. We shall see....
Well, I should get back to studying, because once again this is just me procrastinating doing what I should actually be doing. But at least I am updating all of you!
Love and hugs to everyone!

My First Blog!
So. I am now officially a blogger. I thought that this would be a great way for everyone back home to see and here about Jason and I's life in Arizona. Hopefully this works out and keeps everyone informed and I dont get too confused while trying to keep posting.
Here's a quick backtrack of our life since Dec. 18th!
We made the long drive from Texas and moved into our new house in Yuma. We live on the base where Jason is stationed, and really lucked out with the house we got. Its a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath house with a garage (Jason's favorite part), and a yard (where hank thinks he should dig a new hole every day). The house really has turned out beautiful and very warm and cozy. I have started working at the Yuma Regional ER. Its definitely an adventure, but will be great once I learn the ropes. Jason is doing his thing working on jets, and trying to teach hank all the tricks he can. I'm currently studying for my nursing boards, and this blog is a good means of procrastination.
Now fast fo
rwarding to today..................
Today wasnt too exciting, but ill give you the highlights, mainly this includes the actions of our pups. Hank got up on fire this morning, I was not so chipper. So I decided, in my genius sleepy state to put him out
in the back yard. Not a good decision on my part. He decided it was his day to dig a GIANT mud hole. Which not only destroys our neatly swept yard, it also coats his whole body in mud. Yay, muddy paw prints EVERYWHERE. I left that mess for Jason to clean up. When Jason got home it was bath time for Hankey. Which is always an adventure because hank thinks the bath tub is Disneyland. Sometimes he
disappears for a while, when we go to look for him hes almost always in the bathtub, just hanging out!! Hes a nut! Cammy meanwhile decided she needed to hide in the bedroom and pray she wasnt next for the bath tub. She was VERY relieved when we never came to get her.
Then I cooked dinner, which was pork chops and skillet potatoes, and fruit. (Dont tell jason, but I think that each night when I cook dinner he is a little bit shocked that I havent mad anything not worth fixing again. Each night I ask him, ok... should we do this one again. And he always says yeah... kind of a suprise in his voice). Ha, oh well. At least Im on a roll of good food for now.
Well, Im off to bed, updates are soon to come! Love you all!
That was pretty much the only excitement of our day. I sat and studied for the vast majority of the day which doesnt make for very good blogging but hey, at least im trying.
